Keeping Rural Alabama Rolling
Public Transportation
Reliable Transportation for Work, Health, and Community
Transportation is a lifeline for rural Alabamians, yet too many people are cut off from jobs, healthcare, and groceries because they lack reliable vehicles. Without dependable transportation, families face food insecurity, missed medical appointments, and economic hardship—deepening cycles of poverty and isolation.
Urban community style public transportation infrastructure does not address the primary needs of rural communities. Along with expanding and supporting rural transportation for the elderly and other vulnerable communities, we need working-class solutions that keep the people of Alabama moving and on the road.
Solutions like, Automotive Free Clinics—a “Fire Department of Auto Repair” model that provides low-cost vehicle repairs for those receiving federal or state benefits through newly established automotive repair sites or through partnership with rural automotive repair business. Investing in transportation means investing in dignity, opportunity, and a stronger Alabama.

By investing $500,000/year of the $2.5 Million generated through Land and Tax Reform we will be able to fund this type of public grassroots infrastructure.
